I always used to get fascinated whenever I saw picture an of backwaters in Kerala, thus the place has to fall in my bucket list anyhow. Not exactly the city of Kerala, I rather decided to be in Varkala, which is a quiet beach place, situated around 50km from Thiruvananthapuram. What I really loved about the place is their black sand beach, where you could swim and take sunbath. If not this, you can simply enjoy seeing sunrise and sunset.

Paragliding is another amazing fun activity you can indulge yourself in. And if done with the beach activities, you can head towards the very famous and 2000 years old Janardana Swami Temple.
