Humayun’s Tomb : One of the world heritage monument in Delhi and one of the most beautiful example of Mughal architecture. Most of the world do not know that Taj Mahal is a copy of Humayun’s Tomb because its oldest than Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal was completed in the year of 1648 and Humayun’s Tomb was completed in 1572 so its 76 years old than Taj Mahal. We can say Taj Mahal’s design was inspired by Humayun’s Tomb but some differences are there like Humayun’s Tomb was made by Red sand stone and white marble and Taj Mahal is purely made by white marble. Humayun’s Tomb does not have minarets Taj Mahal has 04 minarets. Humayun’s Tomb was made by a wife (Hamida Bano Begum) in memory of her husband and Taj Mahal was made by a husband in memory of his wife.

Humayun’s Tomb is one of the most beautiful place in Delhi. 42.5 meter high inspired by Persian architecture with a bit of Indian architecture.  Surrounded by lush green char bagh garden from four side and has a same design for all four side. Now days it is one the most visiting monuments by foreign as well as Indian tourists.

Lotus Temple :  Situated at kalka hill near Kalka Mandir in south Delhi Lotus temple is one of the finest architecture in Delhi made by Marble. Real name of the Temple is Baha’i house of worship its know as Lotus temple because of its design which same like a Lotus. It was completed in 1986 and one of the most visiting place in world.

Lotus Temple has 27 Petals in three different design. The height of the temple is 34 meters and diameter is 72 meters. At one time 1300 people can sit inside the temple and can pray. it is open for everyone without any admission fees.

Qutub Minar : Tallest Minaret of world which has been made by bricks only. Qutub Minar is part of Qutub complex which is a world heritage site in Mehrauli. Made by red sand stone and marble. Height of Qutub minar is 73 meters and diameter is 14.3 meter. Construction was started by Qutub-ud-Din Aibak but he was not able to complete later Iltutmish completed the Minar with five storeys than top floor was rebuild by Firoz Shah Tuglaq which is still remains. It has been made by three different people that is why you will find quite difference in first two floors and top three floors. You will also find Quran Verses on Qutub Minar crafted on stones.

In Qutub complex you will also find remaining of Quwat-ul-Islam Mosque which is the one of the earliest Mosque in India. One more uncompleted minar is here in Qutub complex named Alai Minar construction was started by Alauddin Khilji and he wanted to build it double of Qutub Minar but he was not succeeded now unfinished Minar is 24.5 meter high. The tomb of Iltutmish and Alauddin Khilji is also here in Qutub complex.  In Courtyard of complex you will find a iron pillar of 7.21 meter high.

Akshardham Temple : This amazing Place also known as Swaminarayan Akshardham. Akshardham’ means the divine abode of God. The complex displays traditional Hindu and India culture,spirituality, and architecture. It is the largest Hindu Temple after Akshardham in Gandhinagar both inspired and developed by Pramukh Swami Maharaj. From all over the world volunteers helped artisans to complete the temple.

Old Fort(Purana Qila) : Firstly Old fort was build by Pandavas as Indraprastha 5000 years ago during the indus valley civilization. It is where Humayun’s capital Din E Panah was situated. Old fort is one of the oldest architecture in Delhi. Its current phase was build by Sher Shah Suri Humayun. The walls of the Fort is 18 meter high and has 03 gates in which Bada Darwaza (Big Gate) facing west still in use to go inside the fort. Light and sound show at Old Fort.
